Cockroach Control
No one wants to deal with roaches. These insects have been around for over 400 million years, and there are 57 known species in America alone. Roach infestations are unfortunately common, particularly in homes near wooded areas.
The majority of roaches live for 9 to 10 months, but some can live up to three years in the right environment. They are nocturnal insects that prefer warm, dark places. They can feed on basically anything including leather fabrics and paper.
Signs of Cockroach Infestation
Because these insects are nocturnal, it is unlikely that you will see them out in the daytime. They are likely to be found in dark places like behind refrigerators or major appliances. You may find them under floor drains or inside motors as well. They have the ability to flatten their bodies to fit into narrow areas so they may also be found behind wallpaper or within cracks in the wall.
The most obvious sign of an infestation is visible cockroach feces. This will look like black pepper or coffee grounds. There may also be an unpleasant smell with some species. If the infestation has gotten really bad, you may notice a musty or oily odor.
